RESTORATION CITY
Out there somewhere, maybe in an old barn or in the back yard of a country home lies a pile of steel, be it a 67 Camaro,55 or 57 Chevy, what ever it is, in most peoples eyes they would considered it a sore spot in the landscaping. Yet others view it as a gold mine. What is one mans garbage is another mans treasure.
This page is a tribute to the Classic Car Restoration and the people who restore them. It is time consuming and expensive, yet most rewarding to see a pile of steel turned into a Street Machine, Hot Rod or just a true Classic.
The cars featured here are under restoration. The pictures are intended to give you an idea of what one must do to give an old car a secound chance at life. Many people think we just go out and buy a sharp car. Some do, yet others want to become a part of their car. Many of the cars are completely disassembled and then reassembled with new or remanufactured parts. Some parts are even hand made, rubber seals are replaced and new interiors installed. Motors are rebuilt or replaced with high performance engines. Total cost can average between $10,000.00 to $20,000.00 dollars depending on the type of car. You can locate some nice cruisers in the $8,000.00 range.
