Nothing like eating your lunch in a drab plain looking Cafeteria. Vanderbilt was having trouble keeping the students from eating at other places like Pizza Hut, Mc Donalds, Buger King and so forth. They were loosing money big time and really weren't sure why the kids wouldn't eat at the college eatery. Well my son knew why, he told them they needed to remodel using a theme that would be attractive and of interest to young college students. This is what he did to that drab, plain and boreing thing they called a Cafeteria.

MY SON CALLED ON NASHVILLE ARTIST, "PAIGE EASTER" TO ADD EFFECT AND DEPTH TO WALLS.
ON THE LEFT IS THE HOT FOOD SERVING AREA.
TOWARDS THE BACK IS A TUNNEL TO MAIN DINNING AREA.

GET YOUR DRINKS HERE, ALL FOUNTAINS ARE BUILT INTO THE WALL, RESEMBLING GAS PUMPS

VANGO AREA
REAL V W VAN CUT IN HALF THE OTHER HALF BEING USED IN ANOTHER PROJECT.

WE ALL LIKE A GOOD CUP OF JAVA, THIS IS "SIMPLE BEAN" COFFE SHOP.

TO THE LEFT IS A SLATE WALLED TUNNEL WITH FLUORESCENT CHALK,

KIDS WRITE MESSAGES OR ANYTHINGS ELSE THAT COME TO MIND.

THIS PROJECT WAS SO SUCCESSFUL, VANDERBILT HAS COMMISSIONED HIS ARCHITECT FIRM TO REMODEL TWO OTHER DINNING AREAS.
